An Extensive English Bone China Tea and Breakfast Service in a Blue Floral Pattern
Description
An extensive English bone china tea and breakfast service featuring a pale blue floral pattern. Each piece is decorated with a transfer-printed border of daisy-like flowers with gilt centres on a white ground, finished with scalloped rims and gilt edges. The collection includes a pair of teapots with matching lids, a pair of square serving plates, a milk jug, an open sugar bowl, several pedestal egg cups, a pair of small bowls, multiple teacups, and an assortment of matching saucers. A circular maker’s mark is visible on the underside of one cup, although the specific details are not clearly legible. The service is characteristic of mid-20th-century Staffordshire production, closely resembling patterns by makers such as Colclough. A small adhesive label with the number 9754 is attached to the milk jug.
