Mid-20th Century Queen Anne Style Mahogany-Stained Cantilever Sewing Box on Stand
Description
A mid-20th-century mahogany-stained hardwood cantilever sewing or work box on stand, designed in the Queen Anne revival style. The rectangular box features twin hinged lids that open to reveal a three-tier accordion storage system. The interior is fully lined with a vibrant red fabric, with quilted sections on the underside of the lids and the sides of the central compartment. The two upper trays include integrated wooden dividers for organising sewing notions or craft supplies. The box is supported on four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The cantilever mechanism and hinges are constructed from metal. Small white adhesive labels are visible on the exterior surfaces.
