Description
The lot comprises two late 19th or early 20th-century cast metal decorative objects with a dark patinated finish. The first item is a desk stand featuring an integrated clock unit held within an ornate, pierced scrolling metal frame with finials. The rectangular base has two circular apertures for inkwells, which are absent. The clock dial has Roman numeral markers on a light-coloured ground with a gilt-tone central disc and decorative metal hands. The second item is a cast metal architectural model of the Eiffel Tower, standing on a tiered base with openwork lattice panels on the spire. Both pieces exhibit a finish consistent with spelter or bronzed brass.
