A Pair of Model Speedboats in the Style of Chris-Craft Runabouts
Description
This is a pair of static display model speedboats, designed in the style of classic mid-century runabouts such as those produced by Chris-Craft or Riva. The models are constructed with varnished wooden decks displaying decorative planking and painted hulls in cream with a dark burgundy trim line. They are fitted with various metal and chrome-effect components, including windshield frames, cleats, searchlights, and air vents. One model features a dual-cockpit configuration with twin windshields, while the other has a larger single cockpit with a wraparound windshield frame. A miniature textile Red Ensign flag is attached to the stern of one boat. Both models are mounted on individual rectangular display plinths; one is finished in a dark wood stain and the other in a black material. A small white adhesive inventory label is present on the side of one hull, bearing the handwritten digits 9776 in blue ink.
