A Mamod TE1A Live Steam Tractor and Matching Agricultural Accessory
Description
This lot comprises a Mamod TE1A live steam tractor accompanied by a matching agricultural accessory, resembling a lumber wagon or trailer chassis. The tractor is constructed from die-cast metal and pressed steel, featuring a green-finished boiler, red spoked wheels, and a cream-coloured canopy. The side of the canopy bears the printed inscription MAMOD STEAM TRACTOR in red lettering. The model functions via a live steam engine, incorporating a horizontal boiler, a single-cylinder engine, a flywheel, and a pulley system. A metal steering rod is attached to the front axle. The accompanying four-wheeled accessory is finished in a matching green and red colour scheme. A spring drive belt is currently fitted, connecting the tractor’s pulley to the accessory. The burner tray is present and inserted at the rear of the tractor. A small white label with the handwritten number 9751 is affixed to the side of the boiler.
