A Trio of Antique Brass and Copper Hollowware comprising a Large Tea Kettle and Two Canisters by S.W. Silver and Co
Description
This lot consists of a large mixed-metal tea kettle and two matching small brass vessels. The kettle is of traditional bulbous form, constructed from brass with a contrasting copper lid topped with a brass acorn finial. It features a fixed overhead brass handle with a turned wooden grip and a cast brass spout. The body appears to be wrought or spun, with handle supports secured by rivets. The two matching brass canisters are of ovoid form with narrow circular apertures. One canister is impressed on the base with the maker mark for S.W. Silver and Co., London, featuring a stylized letter S within a circle and square border. Both canisters are of spun brass construction.
