An Assortment of Military Figurines and Memorabilia Including Napoleonic Cavalry and Household Division Interest
Description
This lot comprises an assortment of military-themed figurines, miniatures, and related collectibles, primarily featuring Napoleonic and British ceremonial subjects. The hand-painted figurines include several pieces in the style of the Del Prado Cavalry of the Napoleonic Wars series, such as a mounted officer on a rearing reddish-brown horse and another officer on a dark horse. Additional standing figures include a British Foot Guard in ceremonial red tunic and bearskin cap, a naval officer in blue coat and bicorne hat in the style of Admiral Nelson, a white metal figure of a Napoleonic-era officer, and a medieval or Viking warrior with a circular shield and sword.
Memorabilia within the collection includes a miniature decorative side drum marked HOUSEHOLD DIVISION and featuring the Royal Cypher E R for Queen Elizabeth II flanking a central coat of arms. Also present are a miniature shako with a prominent red plume and gold-tone braided cord, a small black busby-style hat, and a decorative glass bowl containing a model of a multi-masted sailing ship. The collection is completed by a miniature circular shield with a spiral design and various display bases.
