Christian Dior Grosse 1966 Amethyst and Gold Tone Bird's Nest Brooch
Description
A vintage Christian Dior brooch produced by Henkel and Grosse in Germany, dated 1966. The piece is designed as a stylised bird’s nest composed of textured yellow gold-plated metal in the form of entwined oak leaves and branches. The centre of the nest contains three tumbled, irregularly shaped pale lavender amethyst stone chips representing eggs. The reverse side features an applied oval cartouche marked 19 Chr.Dior© 66 GERMANY. The jewellery is fitted with a traditional pin stem and a revolving safety catch.
