A Collection of Colclough Bone China Amoretta Pattern 7906 Tea Wares
Description
This collection of fine bone china comprises several tea service items produced by Colclough under Ridgway Potteries Ltd. The pieces are decorated in the Amoretta pattern, number 7906, which features large transfer-printed red and pink roses with associated green and brown foliage. Each item is designed with a scalloped rim finished with hand-applied gold gilding. The group includes a milk jug, multiple teacups, and stacks of saucers and side plates. The underside of the pieces bears a printed backstamp with a crown motif above the words Bone China and the code C 6 6 6. The brand name Colclough is printed in red cursive script above the text Made in England, A Product of Ridgway Potteries Ltd. The pattern number 7906 is printed to the right of the main mark. A small hand-painted gold tally mark is also present on the footrings.
