A Victorian Carved Mahogany Toilet Mirror
Description
A mid-19th-century Victorian mahogany toilet mirror. The arched swing mirror plate is set within a shaped mahogany frame, surmounted by a cresting of carved foliate and scroll-work. The mirror is supported by two substantial C-scroll uprights with further foliate carved details, resting on a tiered serpentine-fronted base. The base contains two small frieze drawers, each fitted with turned wooden knobs. The piece is executed in figured mahogany with a polished finish. An auction-style label is visible on the upper surface of the base.
