A Collection of Mid-20th Century Cigarette and Trade Cards, Albums, and Football Ephemera
Description
This lot comprises an assortment of mid-20th-century paper ephemera, primarily of British origin. Included are three cardboard-bound albums titled Wills’s Cigarette Picture-Card Album, with specific subjects including Railway Equipment and A.R.P. (Air Raid Precautions). Each album cover is inscribed with the name Leslie Revendale. There is a booklet titled Hints on Association Football, issued by John Player & Sons, featuring an illustration of a football player. A cardboard box for Football Boots, bearing an endorsement by Jimmy Greaves, contains a substantial quantity of loose trade and cigarette cards, including visible examples from Weetabix and various historical series.
