A piece of vintage sheet music for the song It’s a Sin to Tell a Lie, with words and music by Billy Mayhew. The item was published by Francis, Day and Hunter Ltd., 138-140 Charing Cross Road, London, W.C.2., in association with Donaldson, Douglas and Gumble, Inc., 1595 Broadway, New York. The cover features a green-toned Art Deco-influenced stylised illustration of a couple in an embrace with bold, shadowed typography. A printed notice on the lower right states the edition is authorised for sale only in the British Empire, excepting Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The original price is marked as 6d Net. The item is housed in a clear protective plastic sleeve.
