A Collection of Vintage Robertson's Promotional Golly Jazz Band Figurines
Description
A collection of vintage Robertson’s marmalade promotional figurines depicting various members of a jazz band. The figures are constructed from painted composition material, commonly known as chalkware. Each figure represents a different musician playing an instrument, including the double bass, drums, accordion, guitar, trumpet, and saxophone. The characters feature the traditional Robertson’s styling with black skin, large white eyes, and red mouths, and are uniformly dressed in blue jackets, white shirts, and red trousers. Each figurine stands on a rectangular white base, with several clearly embossed with the name ROBERTSON on the side. One figure retains a small white adhesive label marked with the number 9731.
