Vintage Hand-Crank Miniature Toy Sewing Machine on Wooden Base
Description
A vintage hand-cranked chain-stitch toy sewing machine, resembling the Stitch Mistress model attributed to the Genero Toy Company. The machine features a cast metal frame finished in red enamel, mounted upon a rectangular light-wood plinth with rounded corners. The mechanical components include a chrome-plated flywheel with a turned wooden handle, a needle bar, a presser foot, and a side-mounted spool spindle currently holding a spool of green thread. No manufacturer marks, patent numbers, or branding are visible on the frame or base. A white adhesive label with the handwritten inventory number 7817 is affixed to the needle plate.
The wooden base measures approximately 23.5 cm by 18 cm. The overall height to the top of the handle is approximately 26 cm.
