A Collection of Mid-20th Century Painted Chalkware Figurines and a Wall Mask
Description
A collection of decorative items manufactured from painted plaster, commonly known as chalkware. The lot features a matching pair of large female figurines, each depicting a young woman with blonde hair in a classical-style light blue draped gown, positioned with her hands clasped at the waist on an integrated rock-effect base. Included is a smaller figurine of a boy in a green sailor-style tunic and trousers with a matching cap, standing on a green circular base. Completing the collection is a wall-mounted mask depicting the smiling face of a child with blonde hair and a green and yellow scarf or collar. One female figurine bears a small adhesive sticker with the handwritten digits 9719.
Female figures: approximately 40cm (16 inches) in height
Boy figure: approximately 19cm (7.5 inches) in height
Wall mask: approximately 20cm (8 inches) in width.
