Mid-century Polychrome Glazed Ceramic Vase with High-relief Decoration
Description
This large ceramic vase features a vibrant, high-relief floral and foliate design. The surface is decorated with hand-painted leaves and petals in shades of green, red, pink, and purple, set against a golden-yellow ground punctuated by raised circular bosses. Darker-toned outlines provide definition to the textured surface. The vase has an ovoid form tapering at the rim and base. The underside of the foot is finished with a waffle-textured pattern and bears impressed marks: a square border containing a stylized symbol resembling a leaf or bird, and the numerals 261.
