A Set of Smoked Amber Glass Decanter and Stemware with Gilt Foliate Overlays
Description
A set of decorative glassware comprising a decanter and multiple matching small glasses, likely intended for liqueur. The set is crafted from smoked amber-tinted glass and features elaborate gilt-coloured metallic overlays in a scrolling foliate motif. These decorative overlays are further embellished with small, inset red glass cabochon accents. The decanter is designed with a long, slender neck and a bulbous body with a gilded rim, matching the flared, conical forms of the glasses. The design is characteristic of mid-century modern glassware, often attributed to Bohemian or Venetian production. A white identification sticker bearing the number 9719 is adhered to the neck of the decanter.
