A Collection of Japanese Imari Style Ceramics and Decorative Objects
Description
This collection consists of a group of varied ceramic and glass decorative items, including a tiered serving dish set within a silver-toned metal basket-style handle. The ceramic plates feature a hand-painted Imari pattern in a palette of iron red, cobalt blue, and gold highlights, consistent with Japanese Gold Imari porcelain. The set also includes a Satsuma-style earthenware vase with moriage relief decoration and a hand-painted figurative panel. Also present is an assortment of small ceramic figurines, including two anthropomorphic cats in costume and a bird. A glass decanter with a faceted stopper contains an amber-coloured liquid and features a small ceramic cat figure attached to the neck with a cord. The group is completed by a large ceramic wall pocket or figure with relief decoration and hand-painted details. One plate bears a small, illegible adhesive label.
Based on the visible tape measure, the wall pocket figure measures approximately 30 cm in length. The Satsuma vase stands approximately 18 cm high. The metal handle of the serving dish spans approximately 25 cm in width.
