A Dutch Wuba Zaandam Nu Elck Syn Sin Atlas Wall Clock
Description
A mid-20th-century Dutch wall clock in the traditional Zaandam style, produced by Wuba (Warmink). The clock features a dark-stained wooden case adorned with ornate cast brass mounts. The brass pediment is surmounted by a figure of Atlas holding a celestial globe and features the Dutch motto Nu Elck Syn Sin embossed within the decorative scrollwork. The brass dial is fitted with a silvered chapter ring displaying Roman numeral hour markers and an embossed brass centre. It is equipped with a single ornate hour hand and a mechanical weight-driven movement. The clock is accompanied by two pear-shaped brass weights suspended on chains and is designed to strike on a bell housed beneath the decorative brass gallery.
