A Collection of Del Prado Hand-Painted Die-Cast Napoleonic Cavalry Figures
Description
A collection of Del Prado hand-painted die-cast metal figures depicting French cavalry from the Napoleonic Wars. The group represents various branches of the Imperial cavalry. Subjects include a standard bearer carrying a French tricolour standard with a central gold eagle and wreath motif, a lancer of the 1st Regiment of Light Cavalry in blue uniform with a czapka and a lance featuring a red and white pennon, and several heavy cavalrymen in blue coats with white crossbelts and plumed headgear. One figure represents a light cavalryman mounted on a grey horse. Each figure is cast in metal with a hand-painted finish and is mounted on an integral rectangular metal base painted green.
