A Group of Hand-Painted Metal Military Miniature Figures Depicting Medieval Combatants
Description
An assortment of hand-painted metal miniature figures representing a medieval or early modern military scene. The collection includes a mounted knight in full plate armour seated upon a caparisoned horse, with the caparison decorated in white and red heraldic lions rampant. Accompanying the knight is a banner-bearer holding a standard with green, white, and red segments featuring a central animal motif. The group is completed by several infantry soldiers, including figures equipped with a halberd, polearms, and swords. One figure is depicted with a traditional Highland-style targe shield and tartan hosing, suggesting a conflict such as the Anglo-Scottish Wars. The figures are cast from a metal alloy and finished with detailed hand painting. A white adhesive tag with the handwritten numerals 9703 is present on the base of one figure. There are no other visible maker marks or stamps.
