A Collection of Twelve Del Prado WWI Military Miniature Figures
Description
A collection of twelve hand-painted military miniature figures attributed to Del Prado, depicting various World War I infantry and machine gun crews. The lot is composed of cast white metal figures, hand-painted to represent different national forces from the Great War. The set includes a three-man French infantry machine gun team in horizon blue uniforms with a heavy machine gun on a tripod mount; a two-man German machine gun team in field grey uniforms with Pickelhauben helmets, manning a sled-mounted MG08 machine gun; and a single prone German infantry figure in field grey with a Stahlhelm and rifle. Also present are several British or Commonwealth infantry figures in khaki uniforms, including two separate two-man machine gun teams in prone and kneeling positions, and individual soldiers in various service poses. There are no manufacturer marks visible on the bases. One figure has a small white adhesive tag attached with the handwritten number 9703.
