A Set of Britains Ltd. Hollow-Cast Lead Royal Engineers General Service Wagon and Figures
Description
A vintage Britains Ltd. horse-drawn military set featuring a four-wheeled general service wagon and accompanying figures. The wagon is finished in green paint and features a pivoting front axle with rotating spoked wheels. The set is drawn by two brown-painted draught horses in harness. The collection includes several hollow-cast lead figures representing the British Royal Engineers in fatigue dress, wearing shirts with braces, trousers, and puttees. The figure group consists of one man standing with hands on hips, one man supporting a vertical ladder, and a two-figure vignette of a seated soldier with another standing behind him. Accessories included in the wagon consist of two ladders of varying lengths and two flat boards. Marks are present on the underside of the green figure bases but are illegible due to surface wear.
