Two Replica Antique Style Pistols
Description
A lot comprising two replica firearms based on historical designs. The first is a replica percussion cap pistol featuring a dark wood stock with a chequered grip. The furniture is of white metal, including a pommel cast in the form of a lion head and an oval escutcheon on the side. The lock mechanism is decorated with scroll engraving and features a sliding safety bolt and double triggers within a squared steel guard. A steel ramrod is located beneath the barrel. The second item is a replica flintlock pistol with a full-length wooden stock and brass furniture, including a rounded butt cap and a flared trigger guard. It is fitted with a steel flintlock mechanism and an iron barrel secured by a brass forend cap. No legible maker markings or proof marks are visible on either item.
