A Pair of Victorian Mahogany Hall Chairs
Description
A matched pair of mid-Victorian mahogany hall chairs. Each chair features a characteristic balloon-shaped open back with a central scrolled horizontal splat. The chairs are designed with solid timber panel seats featuring moulded edges. The frames are supported on turned and ringed front legs and square-section, slightly out-swept rear legs. No maker’s marks are visible on the frames. A small white adhesive label is present on the back rail of one chair.
