A Collection of Wooden Model Sailing Ships including Mary Rose and Cutty Sark
Description
A collection of model sailing ships of varying sizes and designs, constructed primarily from wood with fabric sails and string rigging. The group includes several multi-masted vessels on wooden plinths and a ship-in-a-bottle. One wooden model features a plaque on its base identifying it as the Mary Rose. The ship-in-a-bottle is mounted on a wooden stand with a brass-coloured plaque identifying it as a model of the Cutty Sark 19th Century Tea Clipper. Another vessel features a polychrome blue and red painted hull. A small white adhesive tag with the numbers 501 is present on the base of one model.
Height of central model: Approximately 38 cm.
