Collection of Seven Assorted Vintage Glass Lamp Shades, Late 19th to Mid-20th Century, Including Ruby and Frosted Examples
Description
A diverse collection of seven vintage glass lamp shades, spanning the late Victorian through to the mid-century modern periods. The assortment features a variety of glass-working techniques and decorative styles. Included is a yellow bell-shaped shade with white scrolling floral motifs and original metal socket hardware; a vibrant ruby-coloured bulbous shade; a frosted hexagonal shade with etched damask patterns; a pink and white mottled glass shade; a frosted bulbous shade with green-tinted etched floral designs; a small frosted square shade; and a frosted shade with a ruffled edge. No manufacturer marks are present, though the styles are characteristic of various European and American glassworks of the era. Dimensions: Largest shade approximately 15 cm in height.
Condition report:
The glass components are in generally good vintage condition. There is a minor chip noted on the rim of the frosted ruffled edge shade. The metal hardware on the yellow shade shows age-related patina and has not been tested for electrical functionality. Surface wear consistent with age and use is present across the collection.
