Description

A Roland Model 405 guitar amplifier featuring the manufacturer’s proprietary Tube Logic Technology, designed to replicate the warm tonal characteristics of vacuum tube circuitry within a solid-state format. The unit is housed in a robust black textured cabinet with silver-toned metal corner protectors and a reinforced top-mounted carrying handle. The front-facing control panel is finished in silver and includes a single 1/4 inch input jack, a channel selector button for Clean and Lead settings, and adjustment knobs for Clean Volume, Lead Pre-Volume, Lead Post-Volume, a three-band Equaliser (Bass, Middle, Treble), and Presence. The panel bears the inscription Tuned by Roland Audio Development Corp., California, U.S.A. and features a red rocker power switch. A large white Roland brand logo is centrally mounted on the grey woven speaker grille. This model was part of the Guitar Challenger series produced in the late 1990s. No measurements provided.

Condition report:

The amplifier is presented in used condition with visible surface dust and light wear to the exterior casing consistent with age. The metal hardware shows minor signs of oxidation. The unit appears to retain its original knobs, handle, and grille cloth. The integrated black power cord is present. Electronic functionality has not been tested.
