A Late 19th or Early 20th Century Mahogany Armchair
Description
A mahogany armchair of traditional design, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The frame features curved arms with scroll ends and is supported by cabriole front legs and flared rear legs. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a dark leather or leatherette material, accented with brass-tone nailhead trim. A small rectangular metal plaque is mounted to the centre of the top rail.
Condition report:
The item shows visible signs of age and wear. There is cracking and some loss to the upholstery on the seat. The wooden frame displays minor scuffs and surface marks throughout.
