Description
Brian Needham (British, 20th Century). An Impressionistic oil on stretched canvas depicting a vibrant woodland scene, likely a riverbank or forest path during autumn. The composition is characterised by dense foliage in a rich palette of amber, ochre, and deep reds, contrasted against cool blue tones in the sky and water. The artist employs expressive, textural brushwork with impasto highlights to capture the dappled play of light through the trees. Signed BRIAN NEEDHAM in the upper right quadrant. Housed in a simple, stepped light-coloured wooden frame. 41 x 51 cm.
