A Pair of French Brut Champagne Bottles: GH Mumm 'Cordon Rouge' and Bollinger 'Special Cuvée'
Description
A pair of dark green glass bottles of French Brut Champagne. The bottle on the left is a GH Mumm ‘Cordon Rouge’, with ‘MUMM’ prominently displayed, and details indicating the house was ‘MAISON FONDÉE À REIMS-FRANCE 1827’. The bottle on the right is a Bollinger ‘Special Cuvée’, clearly labeled ‘BOLLINGER’ and noting its origin as ‘MAISON FONDÉE EN AŸ FRANCE 1829’. The Bollinger bottle also carries two auction stickers: one from ‘Shelbys Auctioneers Ltd’ with lot number ‘147’, and another with ‘3993’. The bottles are presented on a glass display shelf.
