A Silver Figural Owl Pendant Necklace Set with Black and Amber Cabochons
Description
A figural pendant necklace featuring an owl design. The pendant is crafted from a silver-toned metal and is set with a large oval black cabochon for the body and two small circular amber-coloured cabochons for the eyes. The metalwork features detailed texturing to represent plumage, with dark oxidation in the recessed areas to provide depth and contrast. The pendant is suspended by a plain triangular bail from a fine-link rope chain. A white diamond-shaped paper tag is attached to the chain near the clasp, but no text is legible on the tag. No hallmarks, maker’s marks, or signatures are visible on the metal components. In the absence of visible marks, the metal purity is unconfirmed; the item may be solid sterling silver or silver-plated, and testing is recommended. While visually consistent with Whitby jet, the material of the large black cabochon has not been verified.
