A Trio of Bohemian Ruby Flashed and Cut-to-Clear Glass Vessels
Description
A collection of three Bohemian ruby red flashed glass items, comprising a large flared vase, a slender decanter, and a smaller ovoid vase. Each piece is constructed of ruby red flashed glass over a clear glass base, with decoration achieved through wheel-etching or cutting techniques to reveal the clear glass beneath. The large vase features a wide flared rim above a baluster stem and a circular foot, decorated with etched floral blooms and foliate scrolls. The decanter has a tall tapering neck and a bulbous body, featuring an etched grapevine and foliage pattern. The smaller ovoid vase displays cut-to-clear geometric lattice panels and floral sprays. A lot sticker for Shelbys Auctioneers and a handwritten tag are adhered to the body of the decanter. No manufacturer signatures or marks were observed.
Largest vase height approximately 25 cm – 30 cm.
