An Assortment of Advertising Collectibles and Decorative Ceramics
Description
A collection of ceramic advertising items and decorative wares. The group includes a black-glazed ceramic advertising decanter formed as a bust, featuring a printed label to the front reading ‘Johnnie Walker BLACK LABEL Old Scotch Whisky’. Also present is a white ceramic advertising dish or ashtray with blue printed lettering to the rim reading ‘LAMB’S NAVY RUM’, featuring a central black-glazed figurine of a seated sailor.
The decorative ceramics include a large pitcher decorated with brown and white transferware landscape and village motifs, a teapot with blue and white floral transferware patterns, and a character teapot depicting a man in a black tricorne hat and blue coat. A small white ceramic teapot with red floral decoration bears a white adhesive label reading ‘SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS LOT 392 01132502626’. Completing the group is a small black and gold-toned globular jar with floral motifs, a white ceramic multi-hole strainer, and a circular charger with a dark blue and gold-toned border.
