A Kaiser Yokohama Pattern Porcelain Peacock Charger
Description
A West German porcelain decorative charger featuring the Yokohama pattern. The central well displays a peacock motif among flowering branches, framed by a complex floral and foliate border in an Imari-style palette of cobalt blue, rust-orange, and gold. The reverse bears a blue underglaze mark consisting of a crown above the letters A and K, with KAISER and W. GERMANY printed below. Additional blue script on the underside reads Yokohama, Designer K. Nossek, and Echt Kobalt, alongside a small blue numeric mark 63. Two white adhesive inventory labels are attached to the front face, reading 327 and 12847 17. The foot rim is pierced and fitted with a string for wall hanging.
