A Stained Wood Three-Bottle Tantalus with Royal Doulton Cut Crystal Decanters
Description
A three-bottle Tantalus set comprising a dark-stained wooden frame with a brass overhead carrying handle and a front-hinged locking bar. The frame contains three square-bodied cut crystal decanters, each featuring a geometric diamond-cut pattern and a multi-faceted ball stopper, resting on an interior red felt-lined base. Two of the decanters bear a black adhesive label featuring a lion crest above the text ROYAL DOULTON. A white paper label is affixed to the upper crossbar reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 326 01132502626. A small white adhesive label with the handwritten characters 150 is positioned on the upper right side of the frame. The set includes an associated metal key inserted into the lock.
