A Pair of Mounted Springbok Horn Decorative Objects
Description
A pair of natural spiral-form springbok horns, each terminating in a polished metal collar and circular end cap. The horns feature prominent transverse ridging and a naturally dark, textured surface tapering to smooth, curved tips. The metal mounts are finished with circular plates, each inset with a central orange cabochon, possibly carnelian or glass. One horn bears a white adhesive auction label printed with the text SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS, LOT 300, and a barcode sequence ending in 3111003608. The second horn features a small white label with the handwritten number 12850. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the metal components.
