Description
A mid-20th century mahogany fire screen featuring a rectangular frame with a carved egg-and-dart border. The central panel consists of a needlework textile depicting a three-masted Spanish galleon upon a stylised sea. The sails are embellished with heraldic symbols, notably a red cross and the coat of arms of Castile and León. The frame is raised on two splayed, curved feet.
