An Assortment of Decorative Objects including a Chinese Cork Carving, Wooden Elephant Figures, and Ceramic Ornaments
Description
This lot comprises an assortment of decorative items and ceramics. The collection features a Chinese cork carving, an intricate three-dimensional diorama depicting a traditional landscape with a central pagoda, arched bridge, and trees with crane-like birds. The piece is housed in a black-stained wood and glass display case with an arched top. Also included is a pair of hand-carved dark-stained wooden elephant figures in a walking pose, finished with white-coloured tusks and circular eye inserts. The lot contains two hand-painted figural ceramic ornaments: a seated male figure in rustic dress with a brown hat and blue vest, and a seated male figure wearing a red head covering holding a small floral-decorated purple and white vessel. Additionally, the lot includes a blue and white ceramic double-gourd vase decorated with floral scrolling and foliate patterns, and a portion of a taller blue and white vessel with similar motifs. No reign marks are visible on the ceramic vessels from the primary angle. The items are grouped under Shelbys Auctioneers lot label 111.
