Description
A signed Mick Cawston limited edition satirical colour print on paper titled POLITICALLY INCORRECT. The composition depicts a debate within the UK House of Commons, where the participants are portrayed as anthropomorphic foxes, hounds, and badgers. The scene includes various placards with text reading SAY NO TO DICTATORSHIP, YOUR COUNTRYSIDE NEEDS YOU, KEEP HUNTING, TO HUNT IS TO CONSERVE, WOTS NEXT, EU RULES?, and ENDANGERED SPECIES?, alongside documents referencing the BURNS REPORT and DEFRA. The print is signed in pencil in the lower right corner Mick Cawston and is numbered 145/995. The title is printed in capital letters in the lower margin as ” POLITICALLY INCORRECT “. The piece is mounted to a white card backing and is encased in a protective clear plastic film secured with tape to the reverse. A small white adhesive label at the top left is printed with the number 4751, and a rectangular white adhesive label from SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS is attached to the right margin, bearing the number 362 and a barcode.
