A Collection of Decorative Objects and Collectables including a Carriage Clock, Eggs, and Miniatures
Description
A mixed collection of decorative items presented on a large oval cream-coloured platter featuring a brown transferware border of floral and scrollwork motifs. The assortment includes a small brass-cased carriage clock with a fixed top handle and Roman numerals on a white dial. There are several decorative eggs, notably a large pink egg with gilt accents, heart-shaped panels, and floral motifs, a blue enamelled and faux-pearl set egg, and two hinged porcelain eggs with floral patterns. A dark stone carving depicts two mythical beasts on a rectangular base. The lot also contains a circular wooden box with an inset porcelain portrait miniature of a lady, a small square lidded vessel with polychrome oriental-style enamel decoration, and a clear glass paperweight featuring an internal white floral motif. Other small ceramic and glass items are included. A white adhesive rectangular auction label printed with SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS LOT 358 01132602626 is adhered to the bottom edge of the platter, and the glass paperweight bears a small white adhesive sticker with the handwritten digits 128.50.
