A Collection of Polished Malachite, Banded Onyx, and Decorative Mineral Objects
Description
An assortment of decorative polished stone and mineral items comprising various eggs, two small footed vases, and a carved animal figurine. The collection includes several specimens of malachite, identifiable by characteristic concentric green banding and chatoyancy. Other pieces are fashioned from banded onyx or calcite, displaying stratified layers of cream, brown, and tan. The group also features mottled grey and green mineral specimens. All items exhibit a high-gloss polished finish. A white rectangular adhesive label is affixed to one light-coloured egg, which reads SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS LOT 317 01132502626.
