A Collection of Decorative Enamelled and Jewelled Eggs and Trinket Boxes
Description
A collection of various decorative eggs and hinged trinket boxes, constructed from enamelled metal with gold-tone accents and faux-gemstone embellishments. The assortment features a variety of designs including pieces with intricate openwork filigree, pavé-set crystals, and geometric lattice patterns in colours such as emerald green, royal blue, ruby red, and purple. Most eggs are supported by integral or separate tripod and pedestal stands finished in a gold-tone metal. One larger specimen is crafted from ceramic with a blue and white floral Chinoiserie-style design. A white adhesive paper auction tag is attached at the top centre, printed with the text SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS, LOT 308, and the phone number 01132602626. A smaller secondary tag features the handwritten characters 12850 and D. No maker’s names are readable on the items.
