A Scottish white metal mounted horn snuff mull
Description
A Scottish snuff mull featuring a curved natural horn body that varies in colour from translucent amber to opaque olive green. The wide end is fitted with a hinged white metal mount and a lid inset with a large, faceted yellow-brown stone. The pointed tip is capped with a plain white metal ferrule. A small yellow adhesive label is applied to the horn body, marked with the handwritten characters J 15821. An additional printed auction lot tag is present, reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 260 01132502626.
