A Collection of New Zealand and Tanzania Postage Stamps in a Stockbook Album
Description
A philatelic collection comprising an assortment of postage stamps from New Zealand and Tanzania, housed within a stockbook album featuring glassine interleaving. The New Zealand section contains issues dated between 1985 and 1989, including commemorative sets depicting Mount Cook, Tongariro National Park, Christmas themes, local flora, fauna including penguins, and historic cable cars. Visible printed text on these stamps includes NEW ZEALAND and denominations such as 25c, 80c, and $1.30. The Tanzania section features pictorial stamps including the East African Airways series, pink flamingos, and an Insects of Tanzania series. Visible printed text includes TANZANIA, EAST AFRICAN AIRWAYS, and denominations such as 50/- and 200/-. The collection includes both mint and postally used examples, the latter bearing circular date stamp cancellations. The years 1985, 1986, 1988, and 1989 are handwritten in ink on the New Zealand album pages (photo 1). A handwritten inventory list on pink-lined paper is visible alongside the album (photo 2).
