A Trio of US, IT, ES and World 1908-1911 Stamp Albums
Description
A trio of antique world postage stamp albums, compiled between September 1908 and 1911. The collection is housed in three bound volumes featuring printed page headings in German, English, and French. Philatelic content includes US definitive specimens from the Washington-Franklin series (circa 1908-1910) in denominations ranging from 1 cent to 10 cents. European issues comprise Spanish specimens in 2, 5, 10, and 25 centimos denominations, Italian definitives in multiple colours, and further examples from Switzerland, Norway, Austria, and Malta. Notable items include an EXPRES surcharged issue for the Levant and various specimens with circular date stamp cancellations. The stamps are hinge-mounted onto printed pages organised by country. The albums are dated in handwritten script on the covers as September 1908 – 1909, September 1909 – 1910, and 1910 – 1911.
