Three mid-20th-century Rococo style gilt-composition wall mirrors
Description
A collection of three mid-20th-century wall mirrors designed in the Rococo style, each featuring an ornate gilt-composition frame. The group consists of one oval mirror and two shaped rectangular mirrors. The oval mirror frame is decorated with pierced foliate scrolls and C-scrolls, set with a clear mirror plate featuring a bevelled edge. The centre mirror is rectangular with a shaped, arched top and pierced foliate scrollwork, containing a flat-edged mirror plate. The third mirror is shaped rectangular with an arched top and base, decorated with pierced scrolling foliage and floral motifs, and features a bevelled edge to the clear mirror plate. No manufacturer labels or marks are visible on the items. The lot reflects mid-century European decorative styles based on 18th-century designs.
