A Collection of British Ceramic Advertising Plaques and Decorative Wares
Description
An assortment of ceramic items featuring advertising plaques and decorative pieces from various British manufacturers. The collection includes a rectangular Spode advertising plaque with red Gothic-style lettering and a gold-printed royal warrant for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A Minton porcelain advertising plaque is included, featuring green printed text, a circular wreath logo, and a gold lion crest. There is also an oval Arthur Wood & Son earthenware plaque printed in black with the company name and established date of 1884. The lot further comprises a Spode ‘Collector’ curved dish with a blue and white transfer landscape depicting a castle and figures, a Yardley English Lavender figurine dish depicting the iconic lavender seller with two children and a dog, and a small Coalport floral encrusted dish featuring hand-modelled pink roses and green leaves applied to the centre.
