Description
This collection comprises a set of antique chimney sweeping equipment, including multiple sectional extension rods and a large, bushy cleaning head. The rods are crafted from dark-stained wood, designed to be joined together to reach the full height of a flue. One rod features a distinct cream-coloured terminal cap. The brush head is composed of stiff, dark natural bristles, likely of vegetable fibre, typical of the period’s manufacturing for heavy-duty soot removal. Included with the bundle is an original, albeit worn, tan paper protective sleeve. These utilitarian items represent a significant era of domestic maintenance and industrial history.
