A Worcester Blue Scale ‘Fanciful Birds’ tea trio, circa 1768-1775, comprising two cups and a saucer. Each piece is crafted from porcelain, featuring a vibrant ‘blue scale’ ground with extensive gilding. Rococo-style reserves are hand-painted with polychrome enamels depicting ‘fanciful birds,’ insects, and floral sprays. Each piece bears a blue square mark enclosing a script ‘W’ on its base. Additional handwritten pencil markings on the bases include ‘Worcester Blue Scale 2 Cups 1 Saucer’ and ‘£152 J 361.’
